Solar panels are built and designed to last for decades. However, at some point during your solar journey, you may need to have them removed – either temporarily, in cases of maintenance or roof repair, or permanently. Whether you’re removing them for good, relocating them after a home renovation, or just need to temporarily remove them for roof work, we can remove and reinstall your solar panels for you.
If maintained properly, your solar panels should last for decades. During that time, there are many reasons why you may need your solar panels removed:
Roofing Issues. Roofs require maintenance as well, and unfortunately in some instances, including leak repairs or even reroofing your home, panels will need to be removed and then reinstalled.
Home Renovations. If you are remodeling your home, there’s a good chance your panels will need to be removed. This is likely if you are making any alterations to your roof or adding rooms or extensions to your home. In some instances, extensions or alterations that affect your roof may allow for relocating panels to optimize their performance.
Panel Repair & Maintenance. Panels occasionally need to be removed in order to be repaired or maintenanced. In some instances, damaged panels or other parts will need to be removed and replaced entirely.
Relocation. In some instances, you may want to rearrange or relocate your panels to a different part of your roof. This may be for aesthetic reasons, or it may be to maximize their exposure to sunlight and improve their performance. In some cases, you may be moving to a new home and wish to bring your panels with you.

Inspection & Diagnosis: We’ll send a technician to inspect your system and roof and determine the extent of the work.
Report & Quote: We’ll explain everything to you and give you a fair quote for the project, as well as a timeline. This process will go more smoothly when you work with us since we handle both the solar and roofing aspects of the project.
Panel Removal. Technicians are sent to remove the panels and all mounting hardware from your roof. Depending on the scope and timeline of your project, the panels may need to go into storage.
Repair or Roof Work. It’s at this stage where all repairs are done. Repairs include both the solar panel system and the roof, depending on what was found during initial inspection.
Relocation. If this is part of your project, we’ll relocate and reinstall your system at its new location. We can assess whether relocation or simply installing a new system is the better option for you.
Reinstallation. Once necessary roof and system repairs have been completed, we’ll reinstall your panels. Unless relocation or rearrangement of panels is part of the process, we’ll reinstall your panels in their original locations.
Final Inspection. We’ll check and test your system to ensure its performing safely and efficiently before activating it.
